100% Canadian Indigenous-Owned

Project financing for Indigenous-led opportunity.

First Alliance Indigenous Capital Inc. provides project financing for Indigenous and Indigenous-sponsored projects across Canada.

Who We Are

Indigenous-Owned. Financing-Focused.

First Alliance Indigenous Capital Inc. is a 100% Canadian Indigenous-owned lending company. Our mandate is to provide project financing that supports Indigenous and Indigenous-sponsored projects — enabling economic participation and long-term community benefit.

We bring a genuine commitment to the communities and project owners we serve.

Our approach is straightforward: understand the project, understand the community context, and structure financing that works for the long term.

What We Finance

Eligible Projects

First Alliance provides project financing for Indigenous-owned and Indigenous-sponsored projects. Eligible projects are those where Indigenous ownership, partnership, or community benefit is a defining characteristic of the development.

We work with Indigenous project owners, development organisations, and Indigenous-sponsored project developers across a range of sectors. Capital managers, family offices, and professional advisers are welcome to enquire on behalf of qualifying projects.

Our Financing Focus

A structured approach to project capital.

Through the Loan Multiples Program, eligible borrowers can use verified Qualifying Capital as the basis for a larger project credit facility, subject to underwriting and approved custody arrangements.

Qualifying Capital

The standard program generally starts with USD $10 million in verified Qualifying Capital. Acceptable forms include cash, standby letters of credit, bank guarantees, and certain other approved instruments.

Facility Structure

Facilities generally range from 1x–3x Qualifying Capital. Up to 4x may be available for Qualifying Capital of USD $100 million or more, subject to underwriting. Interest-only on drawn funds.

Staged Disbursement

Disbursement occurs through approved project tranches rather than a full day-one advance. Full deployment typically occurs over approximately 9 to 12 months, depending on project requirements.

Program availability and terms are subject to review. Smaller-capital options may be considered separately.

Why First Alliance

A Financing Partner Built for Indigenous Projects

01

Indigenous Ownership

First Alliance is 100% Canadian Indigenous-owned. Our ownership structure reflects the communities and project owners we serve.

02

Partnership Approach

We engage as a financing partner, not a transactional lender. Understanding your project and its community context is central to how we work.

03

Long-Term Thinking

Our financing is structured with the long-term success of the project in mind — not short-term metrics that conflict with community priorities.

04

Respect for Community Priorities

We recognise that Indigenous projects carry responsibilities beyond the financial. We work within that reality, not against it.
